When I browse to the IP address I gave the DCO server during install, it never connects. The server is installed as a VM on the same physical server as the DCE server VM. I can browse to the DCE web client, and I have them all addressed on the same /24 network. The install seemed pretty straight forward, and progressed without hiccups. I've even tried deleting and starting over with a new VM. Don't know where to go from here.

Hi Chris
Sounds frustrating
Check the DCO VM Net config - that it's connect to the correct network.
Using the Hypervisor console for the VM, log on as root (I think you can do this) and issue "ifconfig -a". You should see a stanza for the NIC and the IP (inet) and subnet mask.
From the console as root, ping the gateway IP and the DCE IP.
From the DCE web client ping the DCO IP address
the above should get you started.
Cheers
Ed

Hi Ed
Thanks for the quick reply.
Following the instructions, it specified: "You do not need to set the root password as it has been disabled for many functions in StruxureWare Data Center Operation". So I did not set a root password. Now when I enter 'root' as the login username, it responds that this function is not available (I'm paraphrasing because I'm not near the system).
Since we are currently only implementing the Struxureware system for local access only, I did not configure a gateway IP, as the only communications will be between the DCE and DCO VM's, and the Portal machine (installed Portal directly on the physical machine desktop that the VM's reside on). Since they are all addressed on the local subnet, should I still configure a gateway? I'm still developing my networking skills, but I don't understand how that will help.
Communications between the physical server and DCE all work normally (ping, web client access, etc). Is there a way to access the DCO OS configuration UI from the console CLI? Thanks again for any help or suggestions.

Are both DCE and DCO VMs connected to same network. Check using VirtualBox. I understand they both on same IP net but are they on same physical VirtualBox net?
