Hi Team,
I have a customer with DCE on their site that encountering data lost because of intermittent communication lost between DCE and PDU. As a result, they have blank data on their generated graph ( please see attached screenshot for reference).
Their question is, is there a way that our DCE can fetch the lost data from PDU when the communication return? So that there will be no blank area on the graph?
Also, can they customize or edit the data on the DCE? Like filling in the lost data to complete the graph.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Dondee

Hi Dondee,
DCe can only fetch the data from the device when it is communicating, so there is no way recover any data lost during a break in communications. There is also no way to edit data in the DCE database. They really need to be looking at why DCE is losing communications with that PDU in the first place. FA226273 might help with this.

In addition to answer John Thompson, historical data stored in the rPDU's memory have a very limited time (stored, for example, in the last 24 hours or two days). You can check it yourself by logging into the rPDU web-GUI. I.e., the historical data about which your customer speaks, with a high probability simply does not exist. Check it please.
With respect.
