Anyone has some experience to integrate BCPM in DCE?
There is a best practice guide to do it?

Hi Enric, Sorry, I am unfamiliar with BCPM. I tried looking it up and I come up with a dozen things from Benchmark Cost Proxy Model to Business Control and Process Management but none of what I find seems to fit this conversation. If you have a specific product or product page to which you could refer, that may make things easier. Likewise, if anyone else reading this thread has any ideas, I'll be more than happy to delete this comment. 😃 Steve

Hi Steven,
Thanks for your interest. BCPM is a PowerLogic (Schneider) product that means Branch Circuit Power Meter.
Best regards,
Enric Climent

Thanks Enric,
I've heard of the branch monitor, just not that specific acronym, sorry. I don't know that there is a best practices guide but as long as the system is set up to output modbus or SNMP, DCE can monitor it. You may need to get a DDF for the device before installing as I don't know that there is one on the system by default but here is a list of powerlogic DDF files that are available for Modbus by default.
To get DDFs for anything not already on the system or avialable in the add/update feature of the device definition files dialog box in DCE, you would want to contact the folllowing group:
Thanks,
Steve.

Enric, BCPM has Modbus RTU output. I believe if we connect to TSXETG100 modbus gateway to modbus tcp, it shouldn't be a problem to have DCE to monitor it. Just get the modbus list, according to how many branch circuit for the BCPM (21*x), and send to multivendor support, they should able to create a DDF for you Regards. Law

Correct. I have already done this for a customer. the BCMP is a component of the BMS chain. Use eiether a TSXETG100 Ethernet Gateway, and configure this to gain information from the BCMP. My customer only had a ETG300, which had a ModbusTCP interface. We connected to the gateway, configured which slave id to present information via the thin client, then used DCE with a modbus device type, with an appropriate Modbus DDF.

Hi Warren, I'm designing a DCIM solution with many BCPMs (plus EGX100) to monitor circuit breakers. Can you confirm that the integration with the DCE has done successfully? Did you see correctly all the BCPM parameters? Thanks in advance. I would like to avoid to introduce a component with high risk during the integration phase. Roberto

Hello Enric, We used a product called EnerSure, from TrendPoint (www.trendpoint.com/branch-circuit-monitoring/enersure/).
They are a Schneider partner and there is an existing DDF already made for it.
Works brilliantly and we will be soon rolling it out to more switchboards.
If you want to know more, let me know.
