Available Power Outlets

Are Available Power Outlets (which is associated to a rack) and Power Outlets (which is associated with a rack PDU) available in the export database?  I have looked through documentation and tables but can not find the two fields.  Can anyone point me to where they are held so I can include them in a report?

Hi James,

As far as I know, they (Available Power Outlets and Power Outlets) are not included in the export database. I will go ahead and capture this as a feature request for you.

For the time being, as you might know the Equipment Browser "Export Table" feature can include the "Available Power Outlets" (but not the "Power Outlets").

Thank you

Kind regards

Has this feature request been implemented or is it close to completion?  With the information already inside the system it would appear to be a simple thing to action?

We have capacity planners requesting this simple information for extraction.

Hi Nigel,

Thank you for your feedback on how we can improve our system.

Unfortunately we don't have plans to include your suggested improvement in the coming version (that we also worked on in October when you wrote the request), but we plan to improve in the rack PDU and outlets area for the version after the version we are currently working on.

Lasse Simonsen - Hi Lasse, I currently have a dual (2 x 32Amp) input rack power strip (rPDU) that has one input (32 Amp) on circuit 1 and the other input (32 Amp) on circuit 2.  Currently modelled in DCO as two seperate rPDUs (4 in total for A and B supplies), see below

This works fine as each circuit has an independent IP address so I can drag and drop the association from DCE.

I am now potentially going to have the rPDU managed by a single IP.  As far as I can tell this would mean creating a virtual sensor in DCE to separate the two units and associating in DCO.

Will the improvements to the rPDU you alluded to in your post allow for circuits to be setup on an individual rPDU with their own breakers in order for the power capacity in DCO to function in this scenario?

Currently I could have just one rPDU per feed and set it to have a 64 Amp breaker but this wouldn't show if I overloaded one 32 Amp circuit.

Hi James,

As we have not started detailed planning of the next version yet, it is too early for me to say for sure, but I can see that introducing multiple circuits in one rPDU.

I apologize that I can't be more concrete at the moment.
