Hi Support,
We have a customer who has lost their root password to DCO 8.1, and is attempting to reset it as per the instructions detailed here:
However the console is responding with the message:
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error
Could you assist?

Hi David,
I have moment ago tested the instructions (Resetting user password on the DCO server) to change my user password on DCO without any problem. Here is a screen shot to illustrate what I've typed and also confirmation that the password change was successful:

Hi David,
As far as I know, due to security "root" log in has been disabled (many many versions ago). I think even during the software installation it is instructed to not use root as log in name.
