Access Portal via HTTPS 443 Connection vs 8080

This question was originally posted on DCIM Support by Lai Yuan Jiun on 2018-05-21

Hi,

For security reasons, we want to access the Portal server using https port 443 instead of the current port 8080, can this done configured?

Dear Lai Yuan Jiun,

You can find the answer to your question, for example, in a similar my topic :

By default, https is on port 8443.

If you need to disable http, then edit the "server.xml" file and un-comment (use "<!--" and " -->") the connection via HTTP / port 8080.
And for the https configuration, see the following guide:

http://liferaysatish.blogspot.se/2012/06/ssl-with-liferay-tomcathttp-to-https-on.html

I hope this is what you need.

With respect.
