Selected company name doesn't match the company name of the parent equipment
Dear Community,
I bumped into an error " Selected company name doesn't match the company name of the parent equipment" in every cage inside one particular data hall. The system is running at ITA 9.3.5.
I have checked the following:
1. Check the room is not assigned to any customer - open
2. Check inside the cage no other customer's inventory is inside.
3. I also checked that other cages (in another room) don't have the option "use customer from level above".

Hello TJ
You are looking in the right places. The message is an indicator something upstream in the asset hierarchy has a different customer assignment, or at least ITA believes this is the case. So yes, if that device is a rack, ITA believes something containing the rack disagrees with the customer assignment.
As a test, if you check the "inherit" button does the customer assignment change? If yes, you should be able to use the equipment browser to search for that customer assignment info to try to identify what is setting this customer value. You can of course click the "undo" button to undo the customer assignment in the desktop client.
If you need someone to dive into this deeper we may need view a backup file so the data itself can be checked. If you choose to go that path, please re-post this inquiry to the support@ecostruxureit.com support desk as you should not share detailed information in this forum.
