Device Discovery - ITE

Hi All,

I am facing a challenge discovering some 3rd party UPSs into the ITE Gateway. I am running a Gateway with 

Software Version 1.19.0.4. and Device Library 2.0.0.394.

I have picked up that I cannot Discover UPSs that have an NMC that does not have an "https" functionality as I am able to Discover similar UPS models using identical NMCs with the "https" functionality available.

Anyone to advise if this is the reason why I cannot discover such UPSs or that is another issue all together?

Hi @Tafadzwa,

I believe that would have been another issue altogether.  Assuming that you are using SNMP as that is the most common protocol for device discovery, the units would just need to have SNMP accessible on them (protocol, community strings, usernames, ports, etc) and for APC devices to be accessible via FTP or SCP for file transfer credentials.
