We are trying to use the Favorites function to have set event queries that can be used to quickly see event lists that have been set and saved to the users favorite list. We have found that after an operator log out's a couple of times the favorites item has disappeared from the users list forcing the event query to be created and saved again, this seems only with event queries, Mimics seem to still be visible
Has anyone seen this issue or using the favorite function like this? Is there a better way to have user defined event queries or queries available to a operator user level person?
Looking at the help instructions below it's not well defined.
Favorites
If your user account provides access to the Favorites Bar, you can use Geo SCADA Expert's Favorites feature to store links to those displays that you need to access frequently. The links that you can store are not just limited to Geo SCADA Expert displays; you can also store links to external documents and web pages.
The Favorites feature is user-specific; you can only see and access Favorites that you have added to the Favorites Bar yourself.
The Favorites feature is intended for use by operator-level users that do not have the 'Configure Documents' and 'Configure Database' security permissions. As such, documents such as Mimics and Trends display in Run mode whenever you access them as a Favorite. (This is regardless of the mode that applied when the documents were saved as a Favorite.)
Thanks

I haven't had much use for the 'Favorites' side of things myself, and haven't seen such behaviour in the limited times I have used it (or seen it used). But having query displays in the Favorites is not something I've seen done or done.
I'd suggest raising the case with your local Tech Support. You'll like want to send them ViewX logs for the situation occurring, which is hopefully reproducible to get such a log.
The way that I'd normally have such queries available to operators is via a link on the standard mimic pages, or as embedded queries on the mimics themselves. Quite often a combination of the two. Since a full page query result set is not very operator friendly we'd generally have it inset as an embedded query, with a small 'pop-out' button that would let the operator display the query within its own window (which allows for easier data copy-paste, and provides editing of SQL query if allowed etc).
