Hi All,
Looking at upgrading our Telemetry System Eco structure Geo SCADA Expert 2019 (Build 81.7322) to Eco structure Geo SCADA Expert 2019 (Build 81.7808.2) this system has some outstations that use the SYMAX driver. Has Eco structure Geo SCADA Expert 2019 (Build 81.7808.2) been tested with the SYMAX driver?
What is the latest version can we use that supports the SYMAX Driver?
The only reason we are doing this is to maintain the same versions across 7 SCADA systems.

I don't recall seeing the SYMAX driver in the list of out of the box drivers in Geo SCADA Expert 2019 (or later).
If it's not shipped out of the box, then it will be a 3rd party driver, possibly supplied and supported by Schneider TCC. As such you would need to follow up with your Schneider sales representative around whether this driver is still supported under the particular minor release version of GSE 2019 (or later) and whether there is an associated cost with upgrading your systems to this newer version.
It's one of the unfortunate aspects of the driver model for Geo SCADA Expert that the version numbers need to align so closely.
It would be nice if they instead had some kind of interface versioning (separate from Geo SCADA Expert versioning) so that only when ABI changes to driver interfaces were made would new drivers need to be compiled and updated.

Thanks I have asked our Schneider Rep to find out. Symax was the first Hunter Water/ Serck RTU protocol, hopefully we are in the process of updating the field equipment and we don't have the need for this driver shortly.
Thanks for the feedback
