You've not provided the script so we can't see what the script is doing when the error occurs. However, the "Historic update is outside writable time window" error means you've tried to log an event journal message, point historic data etc. which is too far in future or too far in the past.
The time windows are defined in the Server Configuration tool:

This is almost certainly because you have configured an 'Archive After' time that is shorter than the time range that you are trying to change.
Archive means store away as an exact replica of the original data. By virtue this means that the original data must now be locked exactly as it is, no modifications or additions to the period that is 'Archived'.
So:
a. Ensure your actual online historic timeframe is longer than your time to modification
b. Ensure your Archive After timeframe is also longer than your time to modification (i.e. if you want to write data that was 1year ago, you need to have an Archive After set to > 1year)

Archiving is really a legacy feature from the 1990's / early 2000's when hard disks were small / expensive and it was necessary to move historic data to offline storage (typically optical disks: CD or DVD) for long term storage. These days archiving is redundant and all the historic data can just be kept online. Also, servers usually aren't even fitted with optical disk drives these days, although USB thumb drives could provide an alternative for offline storage.
