I'm not sure how many of you use the 'quick filter' on Events lists / other queries, but myself and my customers use it a lot....
With repeated nuisance entries being very common, I often right click on the object filling the query, select quick filter, then have to right click again to change the filter to 'not equal' to.
Example: Viewing an event list on an RTU and wanting to quickly remove all Time Set or reset statistics entries (that cannot be filtered out any other columns like severity or category)
Example2: opening a data table and wanting to remove all entries from a specified user (a column in the table)
I'd love to see a 'quick NOT filter' or better named 'quick remove' or 'quick block' entry - would that interest any one else or is there a better / quicker way we've been missing?
note: we are on an older GeoSCADA atm

I actually have never even noticed the Quick filter. I guess I am always focused on selecting something else.
I have always just right clicked on the column and select Add Filter. Maybe I'll use it now.
That being said I certainly could see a quick way to filter out something could be useful, possibly more useful.

I use the quick filter pretty frequently, and like yourself edit the query afterwards to remove it.
I like this quick remove suggestion!

I raised this as a potential development (PDev) many years ago. So easy to implement, so many to please, so why not do it? Who knows?

As I said earlier I raised this as a PDev. I raised it 9 years ago on 29/06/2015. The potential development number was 1631 linked to SIR 66691 and asked for the 'Quick Filter' menu option to be split into two seperate options, 'Quick Filter - Include' and 'Quick Filter - Exclude'. As far as I am aware there was some sort of system to add a vote to potential developments but I have never found a list of them exposed so that customers could vote on them. Does anyone know if they are published anywhere as this would be very helpful in driving development in a customer focussed way?

No, not public, the votes were internal to the development JIRA system and just a tracking of interest to support drive the planners on what was being requested.
There used to be a similar public forum here for feature suggestions, but can't see it in the list currently, Steve might know where it is/went.
Edit: Found it, https://community.se.com/t5/EcoStruxure-Geo-SCADA-Expert/idb-p/geo-scada-expert-ideas, under the Ideas tab not the Forums tab obviously...

Hi @sbeadle
When considering Geo SCADA Expert ideas are you influenced by the number of likes attributed to each idea when considering which ideas are acted upon?
A customer focused approach could be achieved by encouraging the community to vote on ideas using the like feature, then considering the number of likes attributed to an idea when prioritising product updates. This would hopefully lead to the most important features to the customer being prioritised by the development team. Maybe a pinned post in that arena explaining that votes (likes) for a particular idea help Schneider/Aveva to guage the appetite for an idea to become a product feature.
Thoughts?

All feedback is gratefully received, and feature requests come in from here, the Ideas forum linked above, our customer support system, the meetings our product team have with customers etc. We do use any votes or additional comments of support in assessing any needs.
No change is ever simple, impacting on test and verification, documentation, security etc.
We focus on new features which meet customer's technology needs, security needs and engineering needs. Some will save customers time and therefore money, so these are important too.
There are many new feature requests and we do our best to prioritise them.
Steve

Howdy @ChrisHinton !
This is definitely something I do myself and I would use the feature regularly.
The PDEV currently has no votes though - I'll vote for --- and will ping Asif to vote for ---.
