After update to 2017R3 “November 2019 update” (6.80.7285.2) the OPC "ParentGroupName" property is empty.
We are using this property in application scripts. After update these scripts fail.
Anyone familiar with this problem?

A potential workaround is to use the two dots on a relative reference to refer to a parent item.
e.g. "..FullName" is equivalent to ".ParentGroupName"

Hello Stephen,
Thanks for thinking along with us.
We use the field “ParentGroupName” in global scripts with query’s something like
sSQL = "SELECT FullName FROM CMimic WHERE ParentGroupName = '" & GroepFN & "' AND UPPER(Name) LIKE......
It’s a lot of work for us to change that and use the relative reference,
We will wait for the monthly update.
Kind regards, Kees

For scripts you can use the PARENTGROUPID:
