I am wondering if there is a guide for how to move an existing installation of GeoSCADA to a new Windows Server. Our systems are virtualized and configured for hot standby pair as well as one permanent standby. We want to upgrade our Windows 2016 Servers to 2022, but as a clean install on brand new VMs. Is there a guide for accomplishing this task?

Good question! I think that moving to a new server is similar to an upgrade, except with a move of the database, registry etc. The Upgrade Strategy page is here: https://community.se.com/t5/Geo-SCADA-Knowledge-Base/Geo-SCADA-2023-Upgrade-Strategy/ba-p/453348
So just add to this:
a) Copy the entire database and registry for Geo SCADA (default c:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\... but check all locations using the Server Config tool in the Locations page)
b) If keeping the same IP address or DNS names, no issue. But if there's a new IP address or DNS name then the Partner settings in the Server Config tool will need to be updated on all servers, and they all need restarting to read it.
c) Check for any associated programs which need to be run (e.g. Crystal) and ODBC connections
d) Check Windows users and permissions, e.g. those used for printing or backup
Must be more things to check!
Steve
