[Imported] Alarm Redirection on Server Alarms (License primarily)

This seems like it would be a simple thing but I cannot figure out how to effectively redirect the server license expiration alarm. I would like to be able to set its severity to something other than Critical (we use Critical for other process alarms and redirect those to operations) and redirect the System Alarms to a few admins.

What is happening is our client is in a VM environment and is using a network USB device that reboots occasionally. Our CS dongle is in the network USB device and so we lose the license for a time, but the CS server does not pick it up again when the USB unit reboots. We were on a soft license but IT likes to make NIC changes without telling us which is terrible on weekends.

It is a text alarm, you couldn't manipulate it in the past and I don't believe anything has changed in the product recently for this.

Alarm redirections need an object to reside against.

Have you thought about using a loopback adapter? I haven't tried this with the ClearSCADA machine ID stuff, but it's worked recently with Proficy Licensing to get around a NIC MAC changing issue
