How to Copy or Export data from the Historic List
Newbie here,
How does one copy or export data that is populated when you right click on a point and click "display historic list"? The data I have is exactly what I need, but I cannot use it!! I just want to highlight the whole list and copy it, or have the option to "copy to clipboard" like I can do when I pull up a historic trend. What am I missing??
Thanks,

On the Edit tab of the ribbon in ViewX click the Copy button whilst the historic list has focus.
Alternatively, press Ctrl-C keyboard shortcut whilst it has focus.
In both cases the whole list is copied to the clipboard as tab separated text.

Just an additional tip. If using Virtual ViewX, you need to ensure the list window has focus, then use the Ctrl-C method. The ribbon method will not appear to work because, for security reasons, the application can only access the clipboard if the browser lets it.

Is there a way to copy historical or other information from embedded list boxes? Can we use the Ctrl+C method for that? We have customers moving from WebX to Virtual ViewX or standalone ViewX clients and there is a "Copy" command in the bottom right menu on the list boxes in WebX that is not available in ViewX. It would be great to be able to copy data out of an embedded list.

It's possibly a 'GeoSCADA Expert Ideas' topic item for the exact implementation you mention.
What we've normally done is have a button that pops out a full query window, using the SQL of the embedded list.
That then allows for copy. But it's not quite as seamless as just having a copy option on the context menu for the embedded list or a button on the list to directly copy it to the clipboard.

Hello, i have another issue regarding to copying data using copy command in Virtual Viewx.
the solution offered here above is working for a small amount of data, when we increase the trend overview to a larger time period, so more data, then Virtual Viewx Crashes after copy command and returns to the logon screen en no data is avaiable on clipboard.
in Viewx we have no issues with the same time frames.
does anybody have the same expierence or a solution for this behaviour?
Greetings,
Johnny Bos

If you get a crash then you need to go through your local Schneider Tech Support channel to report and investigate this for a fix.
This is a community forum (not an official Schneider Tech Support channel) so bugs etc with the product aren't really addressed here.

I understand your frustration with trying to copy or export data from the historic list in your program. It can be tricky to figure out sometimes.
Have you checked out this blog post on https://blog.coupler.io/how-to-export-data-from-trello/ that explains how to export data from Trello? Even though it's not the same program as the one you're using, the process should be pretty similar and might work for you.
In general, to copy or export data from a list in a program, you usually need to highlight the data you want to copy and then right-click to bring up a menu with the option to copy or export.
