Hi,
We are using a development PC installed with GeoSCADA 2023 March 2024 and AVEVA Plant SCADA 2023 R2.
Both were installed and working fine. But when the server configuration of GeoSCADA is accessed there is an error message showing incorrect argument and not able to access the configuration settings. When navigated to configure connections in GeoSCADA I can only see AVEVA plant SCADA 2-023 R2 server. I understand from that there is something common between these two SCADA regarding the server. I have used both SCADA separately before but this is the first time both installed in same PC. Can someone guide on how to move forward. Whether any configuration changes have to be done?
I need to use both softwares in same PC.

The only solution I have found to be able to run both from the same computer is to use a virtual machine for one of them.

Plant SCADA includes a cut-down version of Geo SCADA behind the scenes for alarms and events and my guess is it also runs on port TCP 5481, so if you configure your client-side settings with the default port at localhost it's connecting to whichever one is running, or if both are running whichever was running first.
You should change one to run on a different port, e.g. 5482, and then create a new system in Configure Connections to the second config, hit the Advanced button to change the port.

Hi Adam,
I tried creating a new connection in configure connections but under the server selection drop down I can only see AVEVA plant SCADA server or OPC server and usually there would be GeoSCADA server. So even if the is changed, New connection is created and when server config is opened it is trying to connect the local host but since the connection was created under plant Scada the connection is refused.

I guess the same too. I have now installed Plant SCADA in a different machine for time being. Please update in case of any solution
Cheers!
