Good morning.
I have a issue with configuring a binary output point.
The quality of a binary output point is "Waiting for Initial Data".
Therefore I cannot command it.
Instead a binary point input works fine and displays the current state when this changes.
Could the issue be the configuration on Geo Scada?
I am communicating with a NOR via DNP3 (Generic direct outstation)
Thanks for your help!

"Waiting for Initial Data" generally means that the Outstation hasn't reported this point as existing.
For most DNP3 slaves, this suggests that you haven't configured the slave correctly (i.e. haven't configured the point as a Binary Output, or haven't configured it as being exposed as Class 0 or such).
What Type_Identification have you selected for your binary output point?
Did you pick 'Binary_Output' or 'Binary_Output_Flags'? (Binary_Output_Flags is actually an input data type... so it would be the wrong choice)
And then... limitations of the NOR module.
What DNP3 point number did you configure for the Binary_Output?
And what is the DNP3 point number for the previous Binary_Output?
They MUST start from 0, and they MUST be entirely sequential without any non-consecutive point numbers.
i.e. 0 MUST exist.. and ALL point numbers up to your new Binary_Output point number MUST exist.
You haven't changed the Control Code type away from Latch_On_Off right? If you change this, then it's no longer a Binary Output as far as Geo SCADA Expert is concerned, and it will be a Pulse Output instead (not recommended unless you really know the impact of this).
