Hi All,
I am new to GeoSCADA and learning as I go along.
I would like to know if GeoSCADA has the functionality for an operator to select a tag or mulitple tags and export the data to CSV for a given time period? Is there standard functionality for this or must an SQL query be written for this.
If there are any tools that can connect to GeoSCADA to retrieve data that may be useful to as well.
Looking forward to community feedback.
Cheers

No they cannot directly export to a CSV, but there are a couple ways built into the system that they can copy the data out.
A user can display a historic list of a point, change the time frame if necessary, and then copy the data to the clipboard and paste it somewhere else. this is part of the Object Link parameter which is in the parameters of a point on a mimic by default when you drag and drop the point on the mimic.
A user can also copy what is displayed on a trend windows and paste that somewhere else. Keep in mind that a trend may not be displaying all the data points which ma or may not be a problem depending on your needs. The higher the sample rate and the longer the time frame the more likely you are to have more value data than it can display on it screen.
After displaying the Historic List or the Trend they can select the Edit section of the Ribbon bar and then the copy button, or using the Ctrl + C keyboard shortcut. If they are using Virtual ViewX on the keyboard shortcut currently works.
Adding an SQL Export object to the database may get you the functionality you want if it is always the same points and time frame.

Hello,
Do you happen to know a SQL script I can use it to export the trends to CSV?
Thanks,

Sorry I do not, I have never used a script to write anything to a file.
