Creating an ODBC Connection from Geo SCADA 2021 to Power Query in Excel
I am trying to create an ODBC connection from Geo SCADA to Excel. Excel lives on the Geo SCADA Server machine. I have done this many times in older versions of Excel and Geo SCADA without any issues. I have not tried this since Excel changed it's query interface to "Power Query Editor". Has anyone had success with this?
I recently helped another customer set up an ODBC connection from Microsoft Access to Geo SCADA 2021 and they did not have any issues querying data from the database.
When I attempt this from Power Query in Excel the database schema is displayed fine, and I can navigate the schema and see all of the tables. However, when I try to query data from CDBPoint it just spins forever and the rows never appear. I only have a few points on this system so the query shouldn't return more than 1500 rows. It never errors out. Just spins forever. I have tried displaying data from a number of tables and get the same result. We are somewhat connected, displaying the schema, but cannot retrieve data.
