Dear Experts,
I would like to know if there is way to backfill Geo scada Historian from an external database like Citect SCADA or move the complete database to geo scada . I want Geo scada to act only as an historian which will store data and can be retrieved in citect scada.
1) trend data should be moved from Citect scads to geo scada in regular time interval , and when required pulled back and shown in citect
2) i dont want to create the same tags on Geo scada which i did to log data on Citect scada.
is this possible. can we able to move data back and forth ?
pls suggest me a way..

The short answer is no you cannot do it that way.
Since the historian is integrated into Geo SCADA a point with history enabled has to exist in Geo SCADA.
You certainly can read, write and edit Geo SCADA history using the .Net API.
I believe modifying Citect's Trend is is a real pain and not particularly efficient, based on what I remember of a conversation with someone who's done some work with it.
if you are not going to get a actual historian that is made to work with Citect I suggest you just use an SQL database and read/write to it. Then you can run Queries against that, maybe use something like xlreporter.
Your engineering effort might cost you more than just purchasing a Historian though.
Your best solution maybe worth to just replace Citect with Geo SCADA then there will no need for importing/exporting of history.
