Issue

The IC-GEN OPC server fails to communicate with third-party OPC clients over Ethernet.

Cause

The IC-GEN OPC server is designed to support only local IP address configurations as defined in the gateway.txt file. This limitation restricts communication to OPC clients running on the same PC as the server.

Resolution

To ensure successful communication:

• Run the third-party OPC client on the same machine as the IC-GEN OPC server.
• Verify the IP configuration in the gateway.txt file to confirm it uses a local IP address (e.g., 127.0.0.1 or localhost).
