Issue

The Upload Files option under System Diagnostics is consistently grayed out and unavailable for use.

Environment

• Sigma 4.05 all releases.
• Sigma 4.06 all releases.

Cause

This behavior is expected in most cases. The Upload Files feature is only applicable to IC LON controllers and is specifically used for uploading Network Variables (NVconfig.bin). For other controller types or configurations, the option remains disabled.

Resolution

⚠️ Important: Uploading files will overwrite existing files in the database. It is strongly recommended to back up current files before proceeding.

To enable and use the Upload Files feature (where applicable):

1. Access System Diagnostics:

   • Navigate to the System Diagnostics section within Sigma.

2. Enable Advanced Menu:

   • Go to Configuration > User Settings.
   • Tick the Advanced Menu checkbox to unlock additional options.

3. Transfer File:

   • Navigate to Options > Transfer File.
   • If using an IC LON controller, the Upload Files option should now be available.
