Issue

When logging off from Sigma, the graphics window freezes and an error message appears stating:

"Sigma must be shutdown by using the Operators Panel Only."

Cause

During the logoff process, a dialog box appears. If the user does not click OK, the dialog box disappears, causing the graphics window to freeze. Subsequent attempts to click OK during login or logoff have no effect.

Resolution

To resolve the issue:

1. Open Sigma.
2. Navigate to:
   System Setup > General > Graphics
3. Check the Startup Graphic setting:
   • If it is set to 0 (none), change it to any number other than 0.
   • Preferably, set it to an overview graphic.
   • If no overview graphic exists, create one.

This change ensures that Sigma initializes with a valid graphic, preventing the freeze during logoff.
