Issue
It is not possible to communicate with Sigma controllers from the Sigma laptop or PC when using a Windows 7 operating system. Attempting to communicate with Sigma controllers will cause an error, the exact error will depend on the user action at this time.
Environment
Windows 7 Operating system.
Cause
The Windows 7 operating system network configuration is set to "Public" instead of "Work".
Resolution
From the Windows "Start" carry out the following;
- Select "Control Panel".
- Select "Network and Sharing Centre"

Under "View your Active Networks" select your network and its existing network type, for instance "Public Networks".
- Choose "Work Network" and then "Close". The computer will now accept messages from other devices on the network.
