Prevent Email Notifications When Alarm Is Acknowledged in Niagara R2

Issue

Emails are sent when an alarm is acknowledged in Niagara R2, even though this behavior may not be desired.

Cause

The MailRecipient object has the routeAcks property set to True, which routes acknowledgment events to email recipients.

Resolution

To prevent emails from being sent when alarms are acknowledged:

1. Open MailRecipient Configuration

   • Navigate to the MailRecipient object in the Niagara R2 station.

2. Modify routeAcks Property

   • Go to the Config tab.
   • Set the routeAcks property to False.

3. Apply Changes

   • Click Apply to save the configuration.

After this change, acknowledgment events will no longer trigger email notifications.
