1. License Requirement

   • Must include the “multisite” feature to enable Poll Archive Service.

2. Poll Archive Service

   • Located in tridiumx / Multisite.jar.
   • Collects data from the Application Database (App folder) of subordinate servers.
   • Appends new polled data to existing archives.

3. Address Book Setup

   • Include all subordinate stations as clients in the Master Enterprise Server’s Address Book.

4. Poll Groups

   • Enable Poll Archive Groups individually.
   • Configure poll frequency (hours) in Poll Archive Service properties.
   • Optional: Use Date-Time Trigger for scheduled polling via “Link From, Link To”.

5. Manual Polling

   • Navigate to Services Container → Go → Service Manager → Poll Archive Service.
   • Select Poll Group and click Invoke.

6. Log Data Sources

   • Direct polling from log objects in UNC 5x0/6x0:
     • Enable “polled” in archiveSetup.
   • If polling archived data:
     • Client station log service = Archive Local.
   • If polling live log objects:
     • Client station log service = Archive Remote.

7. Viewing Archived Data

   • Use WorkPlace Pro Database Browser or web servlets:
     • appdb, archive/index, or chart/log.
