Can the Niagara R2 MailService (SMTP) port number be changed to something other than its default port 25?

Niagara R2 CoreRuntime 2.301.429.v1 and later

Cause

Local IT policies may require SMTP messages to be sent on a port other than the standard port 25.

Resolution

Starting with CoreRuntime 2.301.429.v1, MailService supports custom SMTP ports. To configure:

1. Navigate to Service container → MailService Properties → Config tab.
2. In the smtpHost property, enter the SMTP server address in the following format:

   hostname:port
   

   Examples:
   • ourMailSrv:40
   • 10.10.9.4:40
3. Restart the station after making changes.
4. If the port number is omitted, MailService defaults to port 25.
