Cause
Resolution
There is no direct fix in the current version of the Niagara Application Tunneling client, but the following workaround resolves the issue:
- Open Windows Explorer and locate the file:
C:\Windows\System32\natconfig.cpl - Right-click the file and select Copy.
- Right-click on the desktop and select Paste Shortcut.
- Rename the shortcut to Niagara R2 Tunneling.
- Open Control Panel:
- If set to View by Category, change to Large Icons.
- Navigate to User Accounts → Change User Account Control settings.
- If the slider is at Always Notify or Default (second position), move it to the third position.
- Click OK to save.
- (Optional) Restore Control Panel view to Category.
- To run the applet:
- Right-click the shortcut and select Run as Administrator.
- The tunneling settings will now display correctly, and changes will be saved.
