Cause
Windows 7 and Server 2008 removed a functionality that allowed ModBMS to be able to poll the Sigma server.
Resolution
- A Sigma executable file is required to be running in the background.
- Create a shortcut to the desktop and open c:\Sigma\Bin\SigTop.exe.
- ModBMS will now poll the Sigma server and the error disappears.
- SigTop will need to be started each time the PC is restarted. It may be necessary to place a shortcut in the startup menu or similar.
