Issue
Users may notice numerous files located in the following directory:
C:\Micronet\binary\vcommon
These files have names such as 20101024.AEH to 20121119.AEH and vary in size from 1 KB to 750 MB. Over time, these files can accumulate and consume significant disk space.

Cause
The .AEH file extension stands for Alarm Event Handler. These files are generated by the Wonderware Logger (WWLogger) and contain historical data related to application events, including InTouch error and warning messages.
Resolution
To manage disk space and maintain system performance, it is safe to delete certain historical .AEH files. Refer to the document below for guidance on which files can be safely removed:
