Issue
I/A Series R2 Enterprise Server BACnet Ethernet driver is unable to open the Ethernet device. The following error messages can be seen in the station's Standard Output.
ERROR: Cannot start Ethernet Packet Driver
tridium.nre.DriverException: Cannot open \Device\E100B1 [ethernet]
Environment
I/A Series R2 Enterprise Server enabled for BACnet Ethernet communications
Cause
BACnet over Ethernet communications from the Enterprise Server requires a special device driver for low-level network access. This may not have been configured.
Resolution
Refer to 'Configuring Host Link-Layer Support' from page 1-20 to 1-24 of the BACnet Supervisor Reference'. This step is only required if you are using BACnet Ethernet.
