Cause
Many consulting engineers would like documented proof that the hardware within a smoke control system is UL 864 tested and approved.
Resolution
The Schneider Electric MicroNet BACnet UL 864 case file, outlining exactly what I/A Series BACnet hardware is approved for UL 864 systems can be obtained at:
- www.UL.com
- Navigate to the bottom of the home page under Useful links and click on Online Certifications Directory
- Find the UL File Number field and type s5381
- The Schneider Electric MNB file will show up and click the link UUKL.S5381 under the link to file column.
This will show you all of the I/A Series hardware that is UL 864 certified, and can be installed in an official smoke control system.
