How to Transfer Your MicroNet View License to a New Computer

Issue

You need to transfer your MicroNet View license from an existing PC to a new one.

Cause

Migration of MicroNet View software and license due to hardware upgrade or replacement.

Resolution

On the Existing Computer

1. Close MicroNet View and all associated programs.
2. Navigate to:
   C:\MicroNet\Binary\VCommon\License
   and copy the WWSUITE.LIC license file.
3. Navigate to:
   C:\MicroNet\Projects
   and copy your MicroNet View project files.
4. Remove the MicroNet View dongle and I/O server dongle from the parallel port.

On the New Computer

1. Install MicroNet View.
   • If using Windows XP, install the Hasp dongle driver from the Hasp folder on the MicroNet View installation CD.
2. Plug in both dongles to the manufacturer’s standard parallel port.

   ⚠️ Note: Add-on parallel port cards may not recognize the dongles.

3. Copy the WWSUITE.LIC file to:
   C:\MicroNet\Binary\VCommon\License
4. Copy your project files to:
   C:\MicroNet\Projects
5. Reboot the computer.
6. Launch the Project Manager:
   C:\MicroNet\Binary\Project\MNProject.exe
7. From the menu, select:
   “Find and register a project”
8. Locate and highlight your project, then click OK.
9. You should now be able to run your MicroNet View project on the new computer.
