Cause
If a controller will be offline for an extended period of time, is there a way to make it not show up in the Alarm View as offline?
Resolution
Edit the controller and on the general tab select the "Out of Service" checkbox.
This sets the "To State" in the Active Alarm View to "Return to Normal" and the Value to "Out of Service".
It also relieves the workstations from the task of probing and looking for a response to a probe until the out of service flag is removed.
