Issue
File Equalization not working even though I/NET indicates Equalization is online.
A balloon message pops up saying that Equalization is Online but the data is not shared between Client and File master.
Environment
Windows XP
I/NET Revision1.10 - 1.14
Cause
There is an issue with Equalization when using Windows XP as File Master and Clients with I/NET Seven Revision 1.14. Once a Client is connected to the file master, a balloon message pops up saying that Equalization is Online, but it never gets the snapshot from the File Master.
Resolution
To correct this issue the following will apply:
- Verify that the user has full access right on their Windows user Password.
- Go to My Network Places, Right Click and select Properties.
- Select the Advanced Tab, verify that there are no checked boxes for the Firewall.
- Go to Administrative Tools, Local Security Settings.
- Local Policies, Security Options,
- Locate the policy "Network Access: Sharing and Security Model for local Accounts"
- Change the security setting to "Classic – local users authenticate as themselves".
- Apply changes, shut down and restart the PC.
