Issue

The I/A Series R2 (Niagara) Enterprise Server displays the error:

ERROR: Cannot subscribe: Invalid node: (specifies node)

Cause

This error occurs due to invalid subscriptions (swids). It typically happens when the parent container or object name on the UNC is changed without deleting and recreating the associated external link. The swid name changes, but the external link still references the old, invalid swid. 

Resolution

• Review the links specified in the error message.
• Identify any external links referencing outdated swids.
• Delete and recreate these links to ensure they point to the correct node.
