Issue
I/A Series G3 Modbus TCP communications to random Modbus devices randomly drop offline and stop communicating with the ENC or Enterprise Network Server. Both the modbusCore and modbusTcp modules are at version 3.6.31.

Cause
There were a few updates to the Modbus core and TCP modules between 3.6.31 and 3.6.47.
- Issue 18656 corrected communication reliability when there are a large number of Modbus TCP devices under a single ModbusTcpNetwork.
- Issue 19897 corrected transaction ID synchronization when a retry occurred.
- Issue 23578 added the ability to control the maximum transactionID used for ModbusTcp (I/A Series G3 Modbus TCP communications to Siemens Moore 353 controller stops updating after a perio...).
Resolution
- Download the following modules from The Exchange Download Center:
- Install to the appropriate I/A Series G3 Workbench modules folder
- Upgrade the modules in the ENC/JACE.
