Alarm and Alert Counts Show “Unknown” in I/A Series R2 UNC Alarm Summary

Issue

When viewing the alarm summary of an I/A Series R2 UNC through a browser, the alarm and alert counts display as unknown. Attempting to view alarm details generates the error:

The requested information could not be retrieved from the database.

Environment

I/A Series R2 UNC

Cause

The notification service archiveMode setting was changed, but this change is not dynamic. A reboot of the UNC is required for the new configuration to take effect.

Resolution

1. Verify that the notification service archiveMode is set to:

   archive_local_no_SQL
   

2. Reboot the UNC after making this change.
   • Failure to reboot will result in the error persisting.
