Dear,
Iam exporting a DDT from control expert (.XVM format) and importing the same file in vijeo designer v6.2 by using "link variables..." , By this method all the variables are importing in the Vijeo designer variables list, but the tag address are populated as %UV43..... due to this, whenever I re-build my PLC program after modification, the communication error comes in HMI and thus HMI stops communicating with the PLC.
Pls suggest me to import variable with the PLC address also (instead of self-generating %UV43...)

If you check the "HMI variable" checkbox for your variables in Unity/Control Expert they won't get a new internal adress (%UV) when the program is re-built. This is the approach I take if I link the variables.
You should also be able to export your variables as a .txt file. Importing that into vijeo (instead of linking the variable mapping file) should result in all %MW address, I don't remeber how that handles DDTs however...
If you really want to use %MW then you should be able to re-create the DDT as a user data type in vijeo and create instances and assign the correct %MW.

Hi Boss,
Thanks for the time and input.
I have already faced this issue in 2016 with importing DDT's, but i thought it would have been rectified by now.
Unfortunately still it is the same conditions.
If schneider address this issue. it would be a great time saving during developing larger application. 😁
Just my thoughts and suggestion.

Maybe Operator Termianl Expert, or whatever the new name for Vijeo XD is will be better! Unfortuantley the last time I tried it it didn't have half as many features as Vijeo Designer.
