We have a new to us MNB-1000. We had not luck seeing it with WPT commissioning tool, so set it back to factory defaults. No change. WPT is not giving any errors or popups. We have tried both RJ45 ports, I think the lower one is ethernet, but have not been able to confirm this.
Solved: MNB-1000 Set IP after factory reset - Communities is very close to our issue, but we are not getting any pop up error messages.
When we use WPT on network with our running MNB-1000s and Jaces, they all show up in the commissioning tool.
If we plug into the MNB-1000 with a PC running wireshark on it, should we see anything? We didn't, could this be due to ICMP being disabled? This is not meant as a red herring, just without the ability to ping, how can we determine if the MNB-1000 can communicate at all?

After a reset or fresh from the factory the MNB-1000 IP and MS/TP ports are disabled. The Ethernet port is the only port enabled. You need to set WPCT to BACnet Ethernet to access the MNB-1000 controller via its Ethernet port. Once you have gained access, its BACnet/IP port can then be enabled.
Set up Ethernet communications in WorkPlace Commissioning Tool as follows:

After following those steps, a few times, I select communications pull down, then 'browse', show all devices, browse settings....network or global? Nothing shows up in the window, either way, '0 devices found'.
Should the dip switches all be off?
Laptop is set to 10.1.10.212 with ethernet cable plugged into upper RJ45 port on MNB.
I don't know if I am doing something wrong or we have a bad device.
Thanks for your help.
