I have a system running Vista 5.1.9 with several Xenta Servers (701, 721, 761, 913) that will intermittently go offline. I can refresh the Vista Server in the tree and some will come back while others will go offline. I found the thread about the version of secur32.dll in windows 7/server 2008 vs. older versions. However, my Vista workstation is running on Server 2012 R2.
Has anyone ever seen this before? I can ping the IP addresses with a command prompt. Also, I can intermittently get to them via browser. I did make sure the tick box for "use proxy settings" under the properties of each server was unchecked.
Thank You,
Paul Knapp

Could this problem have come with some of the latest Windows Update?

As far as I can tell, yes it did. I removed 4 Windows Security updates that were applied on 11/3. I rebooted the Vista server and all is well now.
