A question has come up recently on the Exchange community on how you follow specific users? You can follow places, posts, labels etc but how do you setup subscriptions based on influential users/posters on the community. I see you make mark somebody as a friend. Does that automatically setup a subscription to their posts?

@Matt_Currythanks for asking this question, a lot of users wonder as well.
To your point, you can subscribe to a forum and receive notifications via email when community members post - as an example, I have subscribed to #AskExchange and I got a message about your question 🙂
To follow influencers and experts is a little trickier, but possible. You can friend community members whose content and expertise you value, their activity will then appear in your home page feed (what we referred to as "the cockpit")
@Omaelk do you confirm?
