Arc Fault
Square D CAFI has indicated an arc fault. I have a refrigerator that is plugged into a CAFI. Testing indicated an issue with parelled/ serices arc fault. In addition to the receptical for the refrigerator there are three (3) additional recepticals on the line. Typically, nothing is plugged into the branch recepticals. The refrigerator periodically trips the breaker, sometimes 2-3 days, if I reset it immediately it will trip after three (3) hours. All wires appear to be sound and tightly secured. Is it the refrigerator that has a bad component? One clue I can offer is that there was a lighting strike this past summer and several breakers have tripped periodically but none as recently and frequenly as the refrigerator curcuit. A rudimentry check of the refrigerator does not indicate any obvious issues. Any ideas what my next steps should be?
