I am using Vijeo Citect 7.4 to read the PM5500 data through the gateway. The problem is I get raw values, which change continuously each time. I am following all the steps in the express wizard to define the variable tags. I do not know where I am wrong. Can someone guide me?

Hi @Mehak,
I'd recommend taking a look at the MODNET driver documentation. There are some variants, depending on coil / register starting value (0 or 1). There is also the [Modnet] FloatMode parameter, which defines the order of bytes in the float register.
I recommend experimenting with those settings, to see which will work best.
Kind regards
Olivier

Hello @Mehak ,
Can you share more information about what driver you are using? I assume it is the MODNET driver in Citect.
If you are seeing "raw values" changing continuously, it sounds like you might not have the word alignment quite right for your tags. E.g. you are reading two adjacent words from different variables within the PM. I'd recommend using a simple Modbus Test Client App to poll two words at a time and start at an address, to confirm you are getting back what you expect.
Also, not sure what express wizard you are referring to? This is usually just used to create an IO Device and configure it, not actually define the variable tags.
Lastly, the other thing you can look at is the Raw and Eng Scale on the variable tag. It can help adjust any field values to more human readable values.
Last piece of advice, you should try upgrade to newer version of Citect SCADA (now known as Plant SCADA). It has many new features, bug fixes and enhancements.

Thank You, @olivier_vallee, for the reply. I am using MODNET driver. I am only fetching one variable of data on Vijeo Citect. The variable is in register 3020, and the data type is in Foalt32.
