Hello,
In my system, I have a label that replaces alarm areas with numbers.
Example: PT4 -> Area = 10
However, now I am adding equipment names with the structure: PTx.Board.Load_Cell and I am getting this error:
28 ERROR EQUIP C:(...)_PT4\TsDig.DBF Syntax error (E2020) Line[1]:{10}
I am guessing it is replacing the Label in the equipment names.
I have the solution in mind of adding an _ to all the areas so it will instead replace _PTx, but this will be a rather lengthy implementation. Is there a simpler way (like a setup editor parameter I can change) to avoid this?
Thank you.

I'm not aware of a simpler way to fix this issue. It is best to ensure uniqueness when using labels so that you don't encounter issues like the one you experienced. Also note there are reserved or key words that should not be used. See reserved words for more details: https://docs.aveva.com/bundle/plant-scada/page/1064760.html
You could experiment with the Find/Replace tool to help speed up the long modification process.
Best of luck.
Kind regards
Olivier
