xs 1500 - can't select sensitivity

i have an xs 1500 that i replaced the batteries in. when turned on, it runs the self test and then the "on battery" light stays lit and the "On Line" battery is out. i've tried to adjust the power sensitivity mode but it doesn't seem to enter the selection mode. i've tried resetting the unit as well (unplug, disconnect battery, press power button for 10s...)

any advice?

Hey Matthew,

What do you know about the site power? Is it normal bad? could you meter the outlet that you are plugging the unit into to make sure its getting the proper voltage. To better help you it would be great if you could provide the model and serial number of the unit. (located on the back or bottom, on a white sticker).
