Im a bit confused on warranty poliices. Both lines of ups models (ES and RS) that I am looking at state that warranties are only good for 3 years. But other places it states that there are lifetime equipment coverage. Can someone please elaborate? Does this mean one would have to buy a new ups every 3 years to have there equipment and ups covered and insured?

Does it matter where the apc product is purchased? If I purchase online say for example thru amazon, and keep my receipt, then the warranty would start the date of purchase?
