smart ups 1500 - dead, doesnt power on

Hi
We have a 1500 that hasn't been used for a while
I plugged it in and tried to power it on but nothing happens

I pressume if the battery is flat it would still power on when connected to mains??

Can someone suggest what to try to get it working

I also have a smart ups 1000 which works
I could plug the batteries in for a quick test to see if that brings.life.to the unit

Any help appreciated

Only the newest SmartUPSes (SMX and SMT models) will power up with a dead battery. Others require a working battery to turn on.

Yes Voidstar Is Correct Any You Should Be Able To Attach The Smart Ups 1000`s Batterys Just To See If It Powers
