I have a uts6h and was wondering what the purpose of the j50 connector next to the generator start/stop connector was used for? I've attached a picture of it.
Thanks.

I had someone check for me and they indicated it is for manufacturing/programming use.

Angela,
thanks for looking into this - i don't suppose we can get any details on how it works? (i.e. rs232 interface, programming codes, etc) - i'm wondering if it could be used for remote monitoring? I realize it would be unsupported by APC.
John

Hi John,
Unfortunately not. It is strictly just used to program the intelligence of the unit at the factory and even if it were able to provide some type of monitoring that was unsupported like you said, I think there would be a very slim chance anyone would allow me to provide any manufacturing commands to the public.
Monitoring of the device though sounds like a good idea - like we provide the network management card for other devices but this device does not have any remote monitoring capability now that you bring this up..
